Hello All, this week we had 64 volunteer hours at the garden. Special thanks, Amelia, Barb, Bob, Clarissa, Claudia, Donna, Elrico, Ken, Lavorn, Lizzie and Marion.
Special thanks to Clarrisa and Donna for helping with picking and delivering 60 lbs of produce to Neighborhood house on Thursday.
On Saturday we had 8 volunteers from 10 to noon where people weeded, moved mulch and helped load brush. People took home 35 lbs of produce for their efforts.
Jobs completed this week included:
- Shelving in the barn
- Cucumber beetle traps installed
- Brush behind the barn removed
- Mowing and trimming
- Padlock installed on the port a potty
- Completion of staking of the tomatoes and peppers
- Woodchips moved
Produce delivered to the food pantry included broccoli, zucchini, mustard greens, collards, kale, turnips, parsley, cilantro, thyme, tarragon, oregano and rosemary.
